The work of each individual and organization to advance our cause is a step toward increased awareness of SUDC. A MOTHER'S PERSPECTIVE
SUDC Mom Shares Her Truth
SUDC Mom Athena was features in Circle of Mommas this month. The article focuses on her belief that vaccines played a role in her son's death. While this can be a polarizing topic in our community, we feel it is important to ensure that all members feel comfortable speaking their truth. Until we know more about the causes of SUDC, it is imperative that we keep our minds open to multiple causes and potential links that could someday help us to understand what happened to our children. When the article was written, Athena requested to remain anonymous out of fear of the backlash for her opinions. When I reached out to her and asked if we could share her story here she was willing to share her name knowing this was a safe community environment. Please join us in applauding Athena for sharing her story and advocating awareness for SUDC. Click here to read this well-written article.
